Hydroinformatics is a derived technology, which draws upon water science and engineering, information and communication technology (ICT), and various other disciplines and it is applied to solve the water-related problems irrespective of the three different states of water that is, liquid, solid, and gas. Water, in the form of liquid, is either static or dynamic. In both cases, with limited assumptions, various mathematical expressions have been able to mimic the behaviour of water in static and dynamic modes. These expressions are such that the physics of the system is preserved in them. As the expressions are mostly in implicit form, they are not usually solved analytically and the machine interventions become inevitable. Therefore, computational hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics,
numerical methods and algorithms, and informatics play key roles in making these expressions run on computational machines for various miscellaneous purposes. Additionally, the informatics aids in creating data analytics, data analysis and optimization tools for data-driven modelling to be integrated into the computational systems for multiple uses; where the core of data primarily relates to water. And these systems have evolved as hydraulic modelling systems and other similar systems with different names. When the other two states of water, solid and gas are included, the system evolves as a hydrological modelling system or an integrated water modelling system. In all these cases, the technology is hydroinformatics. We at GHyiAE are experts in hydroinformatics and we believe in adapting to various integral emerging technologies that help in providing innovative solutions. We not only develop modelling system software but we also have key expertise in operating various numerical/physically-based/data-driven models that are already existing in the aforesaid domain.
